In book 6, Nausicaa is the daughter of King Alcinous. Nausicaa is a messy kind of person. Athene takes the form of Dymas' daughter who is a friend of Nausicaa and says "Nausicaa, what can your mother have been about, to have such a lazy daughter? Here are your clothes all lying in disorder, yet you are going to be married almost immediately, and should not only be well dressed yourself, but should find good clothes for those who attend you...." So, this shows that Nausicaa has to take more responsibily for these actions. And she does although athene is almost just saying this so that she looks nice to meet odesseus. She asks her father for a wagon so that she can go down to the river and wash all of the clothes. This shows that she is getting more responsibilty from athene's advice. Also, Nausicaa is a nice kind of person. When odysseus pleads for help, she helps him. She gives him directions palace and advice on how to approach Arete.

Nausicaa is a very kind-hearted person because she is willing to help Odysseus. I think she also knows theres something going on between him and Poseidon because he was washed up on the beach. So she tells him how most of the people in the town worship Poseidon and go sailing frequently. And because Poseidon and Athena are rivals, she mentions to him about the garden of Athena with the fountain. So she is being very kind to Odysseus by telling him these things about the gods.

In the story, “The Odyssey”, we run into a person in Book 6 named Nausicaa. Nausicaa is from a wealthy family and is a beautiful person. She is also a maid that likes to dream of big things. She dreamt of having a big wagon pulled by mules, so she can ride down to the river and wash the rugs and clothing. One way that she is a wealthy person is, “She went to the beautifully decorated bedroom in which slept a girl who was lovely as a goddess, Nausicaa, daughter of King Alcinous.” She was getting married soon, but was a lazy girl. Her other maid friends told her to clean up her room, make your mother and father proud of her and to keep the family name strong. Her dad, King Alcinous, attends town meetings. This is what kind of a person Nausicaa is.

I think that Nausicaa is a kind, caring, and generous person. When Nausicaa first met Odysseus he was in great need. Odysseus was starving, weak, and just filthy and she instantly offered to help Odysseus. She ordered her servants to bathe him and “give him something to eat and drink”. Nausicaa then offers Odysseus to come with her back to her house to get help from her father. I think that this is a show of Nausicaa’s kindness and generosity.

After reading book six in the Odyssey, we as readers can tell that Nausicaa is a very kind and modest person. In the beginning of chapter we meet the beautiful daughter of king Alcinous and Queen Arete of the Phaeacians. In the middle of the night Athena appears in Nausicaa’s dream and gives her the idea to go down to the pools near the river and wash her bridal gown. In the morning Nausicaa awoke with this idea in mind. But being modest, she asked her father instead if she could go and wash her family’ linens. Later, Nausicaa is passing around the ball with her maids when a stranger approaches. Nausicaa holds her ground and the stranger (Odysseus) starts talking to her. Nausicaa says, “ Stranger you appear to be a sensible, well disposed person…I will show you the way to the town…In whom the whole power of the state is vested” (78). Nausicaa is a warm-hearted person who is helping out a stranger from the good of her heart. Nausicaa tells her maids “…Give the stranger something to eat and drink, and wash him in the stream at some place that is sheltered from the wind” (78). Nausicaa has a genuine pashion for taking care of people, to make them feel at home even when thay are not (at home. "Now here is what you must do," she told him (Nausicaa). "On the way to my father's palace we will pass between the boatyards. The last thing I want is for some shipwright to see you following along behind my cart and think that there is something going on between us.” (79). Nausicaa is modest which means that she has or is showing a moderate or humble estate of one’s merits, importance. She went out of her way to help Odysseus with her kind and modest traits. Nausicaa is a beautiful person with an even better heart.

I think Nausicaa is a nice person to give Odysseus food and clothes. I also think she is the kind of person that cares about what people think about her. For example she tells Odysseus to stay behind the wagon and walk to town on foot. She also says “I am afraid of the gossip and scandal that may be set on foot against me later on; for the people here are very ill-natured, and some low fellow, if he met us, might say, “who is this fine-looking stranger that is going about with Nausicaa? Where did she find him? I suppose she is going to marry him.” Nausicaa cares about what people say about her but will help Odysseus.

At first Nausicaa is a lazy girl who just sleeps all the time. Then Athena comes to her room as her best friendand tells her she is lazy while she is asleep. Nausicaa thinks she had a dream when Athena tells her she is lazy and rethinks her actions. she asks her father if she may go down to the stream and wash the clothes. she thinks her father should have clean clothes for the town meeting he goes to.also she thinks her brothers one of which is married (the other two are bachelors) shoud have clean clothes so they look good.

Nausicaa is the beautiful daughter of King Alcinous and Queen Arete of the Phaeacians. She is a kind and helpful person to Odysseus. Nausicaa discovers Odysseus on the beach at Scheria and, out of growing affection for him, ensures his warm reception at her parents’ palace. She meets Odysseus due to going to the shoreline to do laundry with the other castle servants. The shipwrecked Odysseus emerges from the forest completely naked, scaring the servants away, and begs her for aid. Nausicaa gives him some of the laundry to wear, and takes him to the city limits.

Nausicaa's character is that she is a very nice person. One reason i say this is because when she finds Odysseus at the beach of Sheria she helps him and lets him stay at her parents place. her father is the king of of the Phaeaciansand she ensures him that he will be welcomed warmly into there house. also she is nice because when she meets him by the river she lets him clean off and gives him directions of how to get to the palace and how to aprouch the king.

In the story “The Odyssey” the character of Nausica is strong caring person because of how she helps Odysseus in the story. In the story she first shows this how she helps Odysseus by giving him clothing and food when she discovers him while washing her clothes. Odysseus was covered in dirt and salt from his time in the wilderness and in the ocean. Even though Nausica’s maids ran away at the sight of him she stayed and talked to him so as to not offend the gods. This shows that Nausica isn’t afraid of normally strange things and that she is a good and caring person when it comes to helping others.
